Mom & Baby Classes

The first 1000 days of life from conception to age 2 are critical for brain development and lifelong health. Pregnancy nutrition and wellness can have an important impact on baby’s health. Prenatal wellness classes can improve mom and baby nutritional status and overall wellness. Breastfeeding is not always simple and easy.  The early days of breastfeeding can be challenging until mom and baby get the hang of it. Moms that take a breastfeeding class prenatally, are more likely to meet their breastfeeding goals. It helps to learn what normal newborn baby behavior is and how to tell what your baby is trying to communicate with different behaviors. When you are thinking about starting solids, an infant feeding class may help you navigate baby led weaning while making sure your babe gets critical nutrients for optimal brain development.

Baby led weaning online course

Baby Led Weaning is a method of introducing baby to solid foods in a way that honors a baby’s own hunger and fullness cues. Babies who learn to self feed and self regulate with BLW are likely to be healthier throughout life and less likely to be picky eaters. It involves the introduction of solid foods after 6 months and when your baby shows all signs of readiness. With BLW, we trust and allow babies to feed themselves. We start with large, soft pieces of food that the baby can grasp in the palm of their hand. We eat these foods together as a family. Learn about the long lasting benefits of baby led weaning, nutrient needs for older babies and toddlers and how to safely get started with baby led weaning in this video.
